Charger for MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models with a MagSafe 1 connector that covers the three power levels of that generation: 45 W at 14.5 V, 60 W at 16.5 V and 85 W at 18.5 V.
The selection is automatic. There is no switch and no interchangeable tips: the charger detects the connected laptop and delivers what it needs. That is what makes it useful when an Air and a Pro live side by side at home or in the office.
It also has a 10 W USB-A port (5 V and 2.1 A) to charge a phone at the same time, without taking up another socket.
The tip is L-shaped. Protection against overcurrent, overvoltage and short circuit, with an efficiency of up to 85 %. For a single 85 W MacBook Pro there is the dedicated EA851 model, which is more compact.
