About XLR Cables and Connectors

XLR cables and connectors for microphones, mixing consoles, active speakers, audio interfaces, and power amplifiers. This is the balanced connection for professional audio: the one that allows long runs across a stage without picking up hums or interference.

What you'll find in this collection:

  • XLR microphone cables: symmetrical 3-pin male-female (Cannon), with OFC conductor and metal connectors, in various lengths.
  • XLR to 6.35 mm jack: in both directions, mono and stereo, to connect balanced equipment to instrument inputs.
  • Mini-jack to XLR: 3.5 mm stereo to 2 male XLR (L/R) in 1.5, 3, and 5 m, to connect a laptop or mobile to the mixer.
  • Splitters and adapters: 1 female XLR to 2 male and 1 male to 2 female, plus XLR to RCA adapters to connect different worlds.
  • Loose connectors: 3-pin male and female XLR for soldering and assembling your own runs.
  • DMX cable: 3-pin and 5-pin for lighting, and 100 m 110 Ω reels.
  • Speakon: male-male 2×1.5 mm² OFC cables and 4-pin extensions for passive speakers.

DMX is not XLR, although it may look like it: they share a connector, but DMX cable is 110 Ω and microphone cable is not. Using one for the other sometimes works and then fails right during a live performance. For home audio and Hi-Fi, you have RCA, and for instruments and headphones, 3.5 and 6.3 mm jacks.
