  • Reyee outdoor: RG-RAP62-OD with IP65 protection for courtyards, terraces and warehouses.
  • Reyee WiFi 5: RAP2200F and 2x2 MIMO dual-band models, with excellent value for hotels and offices.

How to choose a WiFi access point

  • WiFi 6 or WiFi 7: WiFi 6 easily covers an office or home with 1 Gbps fibre; WiFi 7 makes sense with faster fibre, many devices at once and a switch with 2.5G ports.
  • Where it goes: ceiling units spread the signal in a circle and are the most common; wall or desktop units suit hotel rooms and offices, and outdoor units need IP65 protection or higher.
  • How many: placement matters more than power. Brick walls, concrete floors and several storeys call for one access point per area; several access points with roaming work better than a single very powerful one.
  • Power: check which PoE standard each model needs (PoE or PoE+) and that the switch has enough budget for all of them.
  • Management: UniFi and Ruijie Cloud let you configure all access points together, create guest networks and see issues remotely with no licences.

Practical advantage: every access point is powered over PoE, so a single network cable per unit is all it takes — no socket, no building work. UniFi and Ruijie Cloud also let you check each device's status and fix issues without going on site, which saves an installer site visits.

To power them, see the PoE switches, and for cabling, Cat6 or Cat6A network cable.
