Patch panel and keystone: how to organize an office network
When an office grows, connecting every wall outlet directly to the switch eventually creates a tangled mess that's difficult to maintain. A patch panel consolidates the building's fixed wiring into an organized point; short patch cords then link each port to the switch. Keystone modules allow each line to be terminated modularly and an outlet to be replaced without redoing the entire panel.
