The PAU — or PTO — is where the operator's fibre terminates inside the home. This one comes pre-terminated from the factory with four fibres already fitted with SC/APC connectors, so installation comes down to pulling the cable and fixing the box: no splicer needed. Buy it at TiendaCables.
It mounts in the network termination enclosure or directly on the wall. The subscriber cable is single-mode G657.A2, the bend-insensitive fibre, which is exactly what you need when it has to go through corrugated conduit with elbows and you cannot guarantee generous bend radii.
The four fibres are colour-coded — red, yellow, blue and green — so you can pre-run several outlets or hold fibres in reserve for a later expansion without pulling cable again.
It ships in a dispenser box with a pulling eye, which is what lets you pull the assembly without damaging the connectors already fitted. The internal coiling system respects the fibre's minimum bend radii.
Available with 20 or 40 metres of subscriber cable.
