If you have VHS, Video8 or Hi8 tapes sitting in a cupboard, this capture device gets them onto a computer before the tape degrades completely. It connects over USB, takes the analogue signal from the VCR or camcorder via RCA or S-Video, and records straight to MPEG. Buy it at TiendaCables.
There are two video inputs: composite RCA, the yellow output on any player, and S-Video, which separates luminance and chrominance and gives noticeably better results if your equipment has it. Audio comes in on the white and red RCA pair. A SCART adapter is included for equipment that only has that output.
The bundled software on CD records, and lets you edit and burn to DVD, VCD or SVCD.
Compatibility: Windows. It works on XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 10, in 32 and 64 bit. On Mac the manufacturer does not support macOS Mojave 10.14 and Catalina 10.15 onwards, so it will not work on a current Mac. We would rather say so here than have you find out when you open the box.
