The fiber optic HDMI 2.0 cable (AOC) with detachable connector is designed for long-distance installations with maximum image quality, supporting 4K at 60 Hz HDR with 18 Gbps bandwidth.
What the detachable connector is for: the source end comes apart and leaves only a micro HDMI, which passes through a conduit or a narrow duct without damaging the connector. Once the cable is through, the HDMI type A shell fits back on and you have a normal connector.
