FireWire cable with a 4-pin connector at both ends, two metres long. It is the one required by miniDV camcorders, many capture cards and laptops with an i.LINK port, which is what Sony called the same connector.
It reaches the 400 Mbps of the IEEE 1394a standard, known as FireWire 400.
A detail worth knowing before buying it: the 4-pin connector does not carry power. It only has the two data pairs. The six-pin connectors do carry power, but these four-pin ones do not, so both devices have to be powered on their own. The two types are compatible with each other as far as data is concerned.
The standard allows up to 4.5 metres per run, so these 2 metres are well within it. Conductor with a black PVC sheath and AWG 30 gauge.
