SATA III data cable for connecting hard drives, SSDs and optical drives to the motherboard. It reaches the 6 Gb/s of the SATA III standard and works with earlier SATA II and SATA I ports.
Both connectors are straight and have a metal latch, which is what stops the cable working loose when you move the case or work inside it. If the port sits tight against the power supply or the graphics card, the version with a 90° angled connector is easier to fit.
