The DisplayPort end is version 1.4 and supports up to 7680 × 4320 (8K) at 60 Hz. It is worth knowing that this resolution at that refresh rate is only reached if the source device and the monitor support DSC compression; without DSC the real ceiling stays around 8K at 30 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz.
The other requirement is the port: not every USB-C will do. It needs to support DP Alt mode, like Thunderbolt 3 ports or USB-C ports marked with the «D» symbol. The cable is one-way, from USB-C as the source to DisplayPort as the display; it does not work the other way round. It needs no drivers.
