The conductor is CCA, copper-clad aluminium, not solid copper: that is what explains the price and the reason the manufacturer recommends runs of up to 40 metres to maintain performance. It complies with the Construction Products Regulation with Eca fire reaction class, but it is not approved for permanent fixed installation inside buildings. For long backbones or permanent in-wall conduit, the right choice is a solid copper cable with a higher fire class.
