100-metre reel of Cat 6 F/UTP network cable with a copper conductor and an overall aluminium foil screen. This is the cable you make a complete data installation with: four outlets in a home, or a small office floor, all come off a single reel.
F/UTP carries an aluminium foil wrapping all four pairs together, without screening each pair separately. It is the sensible middle ground: it protects against interference from power conduits, fluorescent lighting and motors — the usual case in a shared duct — without the price or the stiffness of S/FTP.
The conductor is copper, not copper-clad aluminium. That difference matters on long runs and above all if you are going to power cameras or access points over PoE: CCA heats up and drops voltage where copper does not.
It is stranded cable of AWG 26/7 gauge, which is to say flexible. It suits patch leads and runs with tight bends; for a fixed in-wall installation terminated at a wall socket, solid single-core bites better into the IDC blades.
Supplied on a reel with no connectors, to be terminated at a wall socket, a patch panel or with RJ45 connectors.
