Adapter with a female USB-A socket on one side and a male PS/2 plug (6-pin mini-DIN) on the other. It lets you plug a USB keyboard or mouse into the computer's PS/2 port.
It is a passive adapter, with no electronics: it only works with keyboards and mice that support both signals, USB and PS/2, which are usually the ones supplied with this same adapter. A peripheral that only speaks USB will not work.
If you need the opposite, connecting a PS/2 keyboard or mouse to a USB port, you need a PS/2 to USB converter.
