Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter

It works in both directions, so you can also connect Thunderbolt 3 devices to a Mac that has a Thunderbolt or Thunderbolt 2 port and macOS Sierra.

Additionally, it allows you to connect Thunderbolt monitors (such as the Apple Thunderbolt Display and LG monitors with Thunderbolt 2) to the MacBook Pro via the Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports. However, to use this adapter with an Apple Thunderbolt Display, you'll need a separate power supply, as the monitor doesn't draw power through the adapter itself.

Note : This adapter is not compatible with DisplayPort monitors such as the Apple LED Cinema Display or other third-party displays, nor with Mini DisplayPort monitors.
