What you'll find in this collection

• 5-in-1 XVR recorders: Dahua WizSense in 4, 8 and 16 channels up to 5 MP, compatible with HDCVI, HDTVI, AHD, CVBS and IP all at once. The choice for installations with coaxial cable.
• 4K DVRs: H.265 models in 4, 8 and 16 channels with additional support for 8 MP IP cameras, HDMI output and alarm input/output.
• IP NVR recorders: up to 12 MP, with and without built-in PoE ports, so you can power the cameras straight from the recorder.
• WizSense analytics: smart detection of people and vehicles (SMD) so you stop getting alerts for branches, shadows or cats.

XVR or NVR? If you're reusing coaxial cable, go for a 5-in-1 XVR. If you're starting from scratch with network cable, an NVR with PoE ports saves you power supplies and wiring. On channels, the practical rule is to leave room to spare: if you're fitting four cameras today, an 8-channel recorder saves you replacing it next year.

Don't forget the surveillance hard drive — an ordinary PC drive isn't built to record 24/7.
